What has happened since 1969...

  • 1969: Entry into the dialysis business.
  • Eckhard Neuendorf established Litechnica GmbH in 1977 after successfully distributing dialysis products for a Swedish medical technology company. Litechnica GmbH launched the distribution of Nikkiso dialyzers as well as various other medical technology products in Germany in the early 1980s.
  • Once a successful market position had been achieved, Nikkiso expanded the product range to be marketed, including the DBB-03 dialysis machine, which was introduced in Germany in 1997.
  • In 1997, Eckhard Neuendorf sold his company to Nikkiso Co. Ltd. Since then, the business has operated under the name Nikkiso Medical GmbH, today Nikkiso Europe GmbH.
  • In 1999, Bio-Implant HandelsGmbH was established to market a broad range of breath trainer and catheter lock solutions.
  • Thanks to the company’s rapid growth, the product lines were separated in 2007, creating Bio-Implant HealthCare GmbH, based in Lüneburg, while Bio-Implant HandelsGmbH remained at its established business location. The companies are entirely independent; Bio-Implant HandelsGmbH focuses on consulting in the field of dialysis.
  • Eckhard Neuendorf was Chief Executive Officer of Nikkiso Medical GmbH until 2002; since then, he has served as a consultant to Nikkiso Co. Ltd. Japan.
  • In 2009, the company moved its business from Feldbrunnenstrasse to Jungfernstieg on the Inner Alster. The firm’s home is one of Hamburg’s most beautiful art nouveau buildings, the Heine Haus, just a few steps from the Überseeclub, where Bio-Implant enjoys hosting guests and partners.
